Triad Park

Triad Park is a 426-acre green space that serves as a regional centerpiece. Co-managed by Forsyth and Guilford Counties, the park is an ongoing project, so there’s always something new coming around the bend. One of this expansive park’s main attractions is the Great Heights Challenge Course. The exciting, rigorous course features a climbing wall, rope bridges, and more. In addition, the park features picnic tables, miles of paved paths for walking, biking, and skating, and 3 playgrounds. Oh, and horseshoe pits, and a fishing pond. This place literally has something for everyone.

Kernersville Lake Park

This little gem of a park is very popular among locals. Its laid-back atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a summer picnic, and it has plenty of shady spots to chill and grill. Water lovers young and old are bound to be excited about the paddleboats and rowboats available for rental, and little park-goers will have a blast on the playground. The beach volleyball court is lots of fun, too.

Gibson Park

Just a few miles down the road from Kernersville is Gibson Park. This 200-acre park features the historic Deep River Cabin, a circa-1800 home that takes visitors back in time to a bygone era. The park also features a hand-dug well, similar to the ones used by the area’s residents prior to the Civil War. In addition to its charming historical features, this area-favorite boasts baseball and softball fields, hiking trails, soccer fields, picnic shelters, and access to the famed Bicentennial Greenway.
